This takes me back to my roots this is a lovely unmolestered Vanden Plas Efi SDI in great shape for resroration, its one in a thousand, most where scrapped 20 years ago,
All structure areas now fully treated, its time to lay down a few primer coats, to these mostly internal body shell areas. now to search out and treat all rusted areas that remain to be treated and to find those hidden rusted areas too. These are not pretty pictures but do show the extent we have to go to, to chase down all hidden corrosion non matter how obscure, we will find and treat most that can be done. Latest update -- Our Customer has decided to go for an external bare metal respray and as you would expect from us nothing is too much touble however getting off all the new primer and the 30 year old paint is not a walk in the park also it does open up cans of Worms and heightens expectations too.. So its a big step back but for a giant leap forward.
Once again the stakes have been raised by the customer as to the final details, So now we have been asked to check the carpets and underlay for perfection, and for sure more issues have been found both with the carpet, underlay and other trim panels as well as with the upper floor sections now revealed.
