Can I re-chip my Thor Range Rover or Discovery?
Sorry but there are no chip upgrades for the Thor engine, however, there are mechanical upgrades to cylinder heads, cam shafts etc.
Also you must fit Magnecor plug leads if you do not have them already.
Although there are no worthwhile chip upgrades the lucky thing is your later style of V8 EFi system will take on board any upgrade you do and map itself accordingly.
However, it will always run pretty lean in the 2000 to 2600 rpm area, so we suggest if you ever find yourself struggling up hill or with a heavy caravan or trailer, you should always use sports mode as an anti load mode, it will give you better fuel economy too.
It is also worth mentioning suspension here, as a simple conversion/upgrade to Koni shocks will transform the vehicles handling at both low and high speeds.
