Although already converted to run on LPG when this Bristol arrived in our workshop the system had seen better days. It's main issue was with the location and mounted angle of the vaporiser however its was obvious that we could far improve other areas of it's conversion too.

With 100 litres of LPG storage (2 x 50 litre tanks) capacity was not an issue so a simple safety check on the tanks was all required in that area, however it was under the bonnet were we really changed things round for this car.
Starting by fitting our acclaimed OMVL Tandem vaporiser in a suitable position allowing it to function correctly was a big improvement, but with our LPG power plenums in stock one was fitted and the car was transformed. Adding our normal ignition upgrades such as our Dual Timing Power Amp and Magnecor plug leads to the fully inspected/tested original distributor was all that was left.
Our unique design power plenum plays a huge part in this conversion. Where as before, LPG conversions to 4 barrel carburettors was only possible through a partially restrictive over complicated arrangement, with our new development that's a thing of the past with this "no moving parts, no fuss" power plenum. As seen below it allows easy introduction on LPG to the air flow in a much more conventional, tried and tested way. Along with this torque is also increased in the mid to lower rev rage by changing how the air is delivered to the carburettor. Not only this but on 4x4's etc it can be piped up to a snorkel system.
